Bassoon Brothers Concerts
Bassoon Brothers to Blow Our Bedposts in Baker City, Oregon
The Bros are going to hit Eastern Oregon for a Friday night concert at the Baker High School. Tickets will be around $20.00. Details will be forthcoming if you are driving from Wyoming or flying in from Guam.
Bassoons for Your Bash: Oregon Symphony Auction
The Oregon Symphony will conduct a fundraising auction in September 2007. The Bros hope to donate our services for a one hour performance in the local Portland area to the highest bidder. We might even arrange your favorite tune for the occasion. Our only requirement is that beer must be provided.
Portland Concert
This will be a concert and schmooz for Oregon Symphony guests only held at the McMenamins Kennedy School Auditorium on NE 33rd Ave. Unfortunately, this WILL NOT be open to the public. If you booked that flight from Guam, we must apologize.
Does anyone besides us miss our sold out concerts at Chamber Music on Tap???
Fun Raiser Concert in Palm Springs
To encourage new friends and potential donors for the Oregon Symphony, the Brothers and sole Sister will fly to the desert to crow some tunes. This "friendraiser" concert sponsored by US Trust Company is not open to the public. Hopefully the invited guests will not be put off by our belching bedpost's poor image and show up for some fun and entertainment. As usual, we'll have a top ten reasons why you should (or shouldn't) take up the bassoon and perhaps bring a few kazoos with us.
Brown Bag and Bassoons
A noon concert at Oregon Health Sciences University. Lunch and munch to the soothing sounds of the oons. The performance will be delivered and digested at the Doernbecher Children's Hospital on the Lobby level.
A Little Dinner Music
We'll be part of the entertainment to celebrate the Oregon Symphony in Salem. Details to come.
Coulter Concert Series Performance
In their second year of chamber music sponsorship, the Coulter Concert Series will take a chance on the Bassoon Brothers musical irreverance in the St. John the Baptist Church on the Campus of the Oregon Episcopal School, 6300 SW Nicol Road Portland, OR 97223. Phone 503-245-3777. The church has excellent acoustics and is a favorite spot to play for those who know this well kept secret. We'll bring some of our sacred favorites too. But we'll try not to let the concert get too serious by passing out some kazoos for some chorus work.
Bassoon Brothers Play Southern Oregon
The Bassoon Brothers will make their first appearance in Ashland, Oregon playing at the Southern Oregon University's Recital Hall at 8:00 pm. This event is sponsored by the Rogue Valley Symphony who are taking a big chance by booking our band of belching bedposts on their serious chamber music series. We don't think they'll be disappointed. We'll try to come up with music that appeals to everyone. Get your kazoos ready for Fanfare for the Common Bassoonist.
Chamber Music On Tap BridgePort Brew Pub
SOLD OUT TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE! (We hope the guy from Guam got his ticket!) Gregory Ewer of the Oregon Symphony will join the Bros and Sis to do some fiddlin'. This will be a live recording as well with our usual audience participation, kazoos, foot stomps, and our traditional BridgePort chant. This is going to be a memorable St. Patrick's Day show with premieres of some new derangements.
Mini Concert to Support Women's Auxillary of the Oregon Symphony
Not open to the public unless you know an Oregon Symphony auxilliarist.
