The Brothers say:
In 1997, the Bassoon Brothers commissioned mentor and fellow bassoonist Peter Schickele, a.k.a. P.D.Q. Bach, to write a bassoon quartet. Blue Set No. 2 is a challenging piece in three movements -- Bassooner or Later (bebop), Portlandia in Cerulean
(shuffle), and Gang of Wolves (boogie woogie) -- and was recorded on the first CD.
